Bookkeeping should feel simpler

You run the business. We help keep the books in order.

Transactions arrive from banks, cards, subscriptions, payment processors and receipts. Keeping everything organized, documented and reconciled can quickly become another job.

Too much repetition

Recurring transactions, merchants, receipts and account activity consume time every month—even when the business owner has more important work to do.

Software doesn't know everything

A transaction can look obvious to software and still be wrong for your business. Context matters, especially when an item is unusual or ambiguous.

Reports should make sense

A Profit & Loss or Balance Sheet is more useful when the owner can quickly understand the month instead of digging through accounting screens.

Technology + judgment

AI should make bookkeeping better—not remove the person responsible for checking the work.

The workflow is designed to use automation where it is useful and human judgment where context, reconciliation, exceptions or client questions matter.

If the system isn't sure, the answer should not be a guess. It should become a question.

No accounting language required

When we need your input, the question should be simple.

Some transactions need information only the business owner can provide. Instead of burying you in bookkeeping jargon, the workflow should ask a clear question and capture the answer for review.

What was this purchase mainly for?

Illustrative interface. Client responses provide context for bookkeeping review; they do not replace professional judgment or reconciliation procedures.

Monthly bookkeeping

The recurring work that keeps QuickBooks moving.

Monthly bookkeeping is built around accurate organization, reconciliation, exception handling and reporting—not around adding unrelated advisory services.

Transaction Categorization

Business activity is organized within the client's bookkeeping structure, with unusual or unclear items routed for review.

Bank & Card Reconciliation

Applicable financial accounts are compared with the books so differences can be identified and addressed during the monthly workflow.

Exception Review

Unusual, incomplete or ambiguous activity is surfaced rather than silently forced into a category that may not fit the business.

Human Bookkeeping Review

A person remains involved in questions, exceptions, corrections and the recurring bookkeeping review process.

Profit & Loss

See recorded revenue, expenses and net income for the reporting period using the information contained in the books.

Balance Sheet

See recorded assets, liabilities and equity at period end as part of the standard monthly reporting package.

Plus a monthly summary designed for business owners—not accountants. Explore Monthly Bookkeeping
A simple monthly process

From transactions to understandable books.

The workflow is intentionally structured so access, automation, exceptions, reconciliation and reporting each have a clear place.

01

Connect

Provide authorized QuickBooks Online access for the bookkeeping engagement. The client remains in control of the QBO company.

02

Organize

Technology assists with repetitive bookkeeping activity, patterns, suggested treatment and items that may need attention.

03

Review

Unclear transactions and exceptions receive human attention. Client questions are used when business context is required.

04

Reconcile

Applicable bank and card accounts are reconciled and outstanding differences are investigated within the monthly scope.

05

Report

Receive monthly financial reports and an easier summary of the period based on the bookkeeping information available.

Understand the month

Your numbers shouldn't require translation.

Standard QuickBooks reports remain important. The monthly owner view should make it easier to see what happened, what changed and what still needs attention.

Your business. Your QuickBooks.

You stay in control of the accounting system.

The bookkeeping relationship should operate through authorized access—not by asking a client to hand over personal QuickBooks or banking passwords. The goal is to use only the information needed for the agreed bookkeeping work.

Your QBO Company

Your business remains the owner and controller of its QuickBooks Online company and subscription relationship.

Authorized Access

Use designated QuickBooks permissions or an approved software connection instead of sharing a personal master password.

Minimum Necessary Information

The operating principle is to avoid collecting or retaining financial information that is not needed to perform the engagement.

Human Accountability

Automation assists the workflow. People remain involved in exception handling, client questions and recurring bookkeeping review.

Built first for straightforward small business

A focused bookkeeping service works best when the workflow fits the business.

Early service is especially well suited to owner-operated and service-based businesses with one entity and a reasonably straightforward QuickBooks environment.

Frequently asked

Clear answers before the bookkeeping starts.

Is AI doing my bookkeeping by itself?
No. The intended workflow uses technology to assist with repetitive work, pattern recognition and exception identification while human review remains part of the bookkeeping process.
Do I give you my QuickBooks password?
No. QuickBooks access should be provided through authorized user permissions or an approved QuickBooks connection rather than by sharing a personal login password.
What happens when a transaction is unclear?
The item should be flagged for review. When business context is required, the client can be asked a simple question instead of the system silently guessing.
What if my books are already behind?
Catch-Up & Cleanup can be assessed as a separate project before recurring monthly bookkeeping begins. Pricing depends on the number of months, accounts, transactions and the condition of the books.
What if I do not use QuickBooks Online yet?
QuickBooks Online setup can be scoped as a separate one-time bookkeeping project before monthly service begins.
Do you prepare taxes or provide CPA services?
No. The launch service is focused on bookkeeping. Tax preparation, audit, review, compilation and other CPA or assurance services are outside the standard bookkeeping engagement.
Who owns my QuickBooks account?
You do. The bookkeeping service works through authorized access to the client's QuickBooks Online company; it does not take ownership of the client's accounting system.
Ready for cleaner books?

Let's find the right starting point.

Tell us a little about your QuickBooks, monthly activity and current book condition. We can determine whether a standard bookkeeping plan fits or whether cleanup/setup should come first.
